# Building FRLI: A Startup Database with Deep Signals

At PlayTheory, we've been building [FRLI](https://frli.co), a Startup Database with Deep Signals

Most of our products are born out of a need to solve our own problem

We wanted to build a comprehensive database of startups with deep insights and signals that could help investors, corporates and other stakeholders make better decisions

Mainly because we wanted to reach out to these startups to offer our products (funny how these things work)

The existing solutions in the market were either too expensive or didn't provide the depth of insights we were looking for

So, we decided to build our own

FRLI helps you discover, track and analyze startups using multiple data points and deep signals

We're also adding features like funding, founder signals, similar companies and a bunch more
